Our law firm provides sophisticated legal representation by limiting our practice primarily to divorce and family law. Because of our focus and determination we have the skill, knowledge, and ability to benefit our clients with tough but fair representation throughout the difficult periods ahead of them.
In addition to calling on our extensive litigation and courtroom experience, we can also access a strategic network of professionals in the business community. When advantageous to our clients, we use these recognized experts to perform child custody evaluations, to value marital assets including business interests and goodwill, to value cash flow, and to evaluate employment potential, alimony and child support claims.
Our focus on providing high quality, tough and fair representation has gained Mr. Brock a reputation not just with the judges in our community, but also other family law attorneys. His peers voted him in as president in 2015 of the East West Family Law Council, a specialized bar association serving San Bernardino County and Eastern Los Angeles County.
The Legal Process
Courtrooms and the legal process as a whole are hard to understand for people who have never been through the experience. Many have seen only glamorized courtroom dramas on television. These may be entertaining, but they distort reality.
The reality is that the court system and legal process can be confusing and intimidating, often leaving participants overwhelmed. At the Law Office of Laurence J. Brock, one of our goals is to humanize that complex legal process. By keeping our clients involved and educated, and by being available to answer their questions, we remove the confusion and fear that most people feel during this difficult time.
Attorney Laurence J. Brock has over 26 years’ experience practicing law, and has been a divorce and family law attorney since 1992. Mr. Brock has litigated more than a thousand cases over the course of his career, representing husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, and children. Whatever your unique family law case requires, Mr. Brock has the experience to help you develop a strategy to resolve your case successfully.
In January, 2015 Mr. Brock was elected to a two year term as the president of the East West Family Law Council, a specialized bar association for family law attorneys and affiliated professionals in San Bernardino County and Eastern Los Angeles County. As president, Mr. Brock’s goals are to assist the courts in providing better service to litigants in a time of budget cuts, and creating an educational environment which will help improve the overall quality of the practice of law in our community.
In addition to his successful practice, Mr. Brock has been a regular lecturer at family law seminars, where he educated and trained attorneys, judges, and other forensic professionals involved in the family law process. Through his appointments by family law court judges, Mr. Brock has also gained extensive experience as a mediator, assisting other lawyers and litigants in settling their cases.
